In an attempt to establish a platform that can sustainably fund future community projects, I’m focusing full-time (for 2024-2025) on building a new fantasy-themed consumer brand for cannabis enthusiasts, called Flying Unicorn.

I’ve been burning the midnight oil (no pun intended) doing a shit load of research, brand design development, original vectorized illustrations, product prototyping, travelling domestically & internationally for B2B networking… basically soaking in and hustling out in these streets to learn about the intricacies and potential economic opportunities that are sprouting out of the US cannabis industry.

The goal of building this brand is to continue building accessible tool & community project spaces with profits generated from this consumer platform. I genuinely miss building & organizing creative spaces for artists (like makerspaces and DIY venues)… so the goal is to earmark profits from the platform as it grows to benefit community projects & partners who provide these super useful resources for artists to use for building their own careers.

Also — I’m honestly burnt out (and not in the good way!) from spending the past 10+ years having to re-invest & re-build vital DIY community spaces multiple times from issues with rising rent prices, landlords redeveloping properties, & cost of managing communal resources between artists & artist orgs… so, I’m going to play the Monopoly game a bit & see if the FU platform can sustainably be built to fund future community projects :)

Modelling Mutual Aid | FREE DOWNLOAD

I’ve organized 380+ workshops over the past 10+ years. My passions lie within meta-formations of workshopology as applied to accessible learning networks built by community members across the world.

This zine is inspired by a course that I taught online for the School of Machines, Making and Make-Believe called Modelling for Mutual Aid.

Part of the course highlighted my experiences in organizing technical literacy projects for a variety of international learning spaces and community organizations.

Artist-in-Residence | PIFcamp 2022

PIFcamp is an annual summer hacking camp in the Slovenian alps that I enjoy attending every year (if possible).

In 2022, Projekt Atol (one of the camp organizers) selected me to be the PIF Artist-in-Residence for the weeklong hacker camp in early August 2022 as well as the host skill-building workshops at Projekt Atol’s creative space in the center of Slovenia’s capital city - Ljubljana.

During the 2 month residency, I created a skillshare workshop series that taught participants basic fabrication skills with the intention of applying those skills to storytelling media.

Shout out to Rea, Tina, and Uros at Projekt Atol for selecting me for this opportunity — as well as the documentary crew, Domen and Maja of Videokeks.si, for filming & editing this awesome short film about my residency!
